The Shift Memorabilia
it starts like this

As you will have gathered by now, we appreciate Crimea Street Films for giving us memories of a world now gone.To express that, each month we put together a small collection of items that celebrate those times and the people who lived them. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
The PuristNone of your Fancy Dan stuff here but instead straight to the point and an image you can believe in.Most members here have one with their favourite film on and there are some, like Ron, who have every single one because of his admiration for the twin needle topstitch at sleeve cuff and hem,If you'd like one of your own, you know what to do.
The DandyOur film poster t-shirts capture the original Reg Baines' design in full-colour.Brian Astley, who creates our faithful reproduction posters, said, "I love how the colours are maintained to respect the original work."From a man who is borderline obsessive with even the small details, this is praise indeed. Now you can own a piece of Reg Baines creativity and wear it like the stylemeister you are.

We have a young and enthusiastic member to thank for bringing us online in 2026 after 53 years of doing everything by post. Coincidentally, he was born just before the final Crimea Street film was released.Jon runs an art collective and we are delighted that he is working with us to bring some remarkable pieces to life. Each month, new work will be available for a limited time before making way for the next collection four weeks later. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
The FaithfulMost people agree that Reg Baines was a true artist and his bold poster designs became almost as familiar as the films themselves. Many of us can still remember seeing them outside our local picture house. Now Brian Astley has faithfully reproduced them, even keeping to the original 22 x 28 inch format and carefully matching the colours of Reg's work. The only concession to modern times, which we hope Reg would have approved of, is that they are printed on museum-quality paper and intended to be cherished as much as the films they celebrate.
The InterpretationNot everyone sees the world in quite the same way and Olive James has always had an eye for finding something new in the familiar.Inspired by the people, places and stories of Crimea Street Films, she has created a series of bold interpretations that celebrate the originals whilst confidently striking out in their own direction.Produced as striking 40 x 60 inch framed canvases, these are not pieces intended to hide in the background. They were created to make a statement and to become part of the rooms in which they hang.
The OriginalThese fine art pieces are remarkable.Using the finest materials and individually framed and glazed to an exceptional standard, these substantial editions were created for those who appreciate craftsmanship as much as the stories that inspired them. These original works are intended to capture the imagery and atmosphere of a moment from the films and to be enjoyed for generations to come.
